Nespresso CitiZ Espresso Maker Features

Though it’s a single serve espresso maker, it comes with coffee capsules that are designed to hold just the right amount of coffee so that the extraction system can go through the coffee in the capsules for a ideal espresso with every brew. Once the coffee capsules are loaded, the espresso maker is designed to perforate the otherwise airtight capsules so that steam can get through and extract coffee from the grounds. The Nespresso CitiZ espresso machine comes with a 19 bar pump that ensure that the steam pressure is at its uppermost. The result is the cream at the top of your coffee – it usually looks really gorgeous if you can find a way to put the milk froth on top of it in a particular design.

Cay:I see your problem, you believe that auto espresso machines are good. Personally, unless you have full control over the machine, you are less than likely to get an amazing cup. This is because you can’t control bean freshness, grind date, grind size, amount of beans used, tamp pressure, and extraction length and volume. You also have no control over milk texture (where’s the microfoam?), temp inconsistencies, and can’t have any artistic flare (hearts, tulips and triple rosettas, anyone?). You are also limited to buying only the capsules provided (as opposed to almost limitless bean variations from cafes), which are an expensive way to buy beans, plus are incredibly wasteful. The only advantage to auto machines is that they are marginally quicker at preparing a coffee.Ask any barista worth his or her salt will agree with me on this. However, if you really want an auto for the convenience, get the Nespresso, the ads have George Clunie and John Malkovitch in them =D
